POSITION SUMMARY
As key member of the Asia PR team at RIM, the successful candidate’s main responsibilities will include:
– PR strategy development and execution for RIM in Indonesia – working in collaboration with internal teams and key external stakeholders
– Media relations – working with PR agencies to manage relationships with the media & bloggers through a variety of proactive and reactive initiatives;
– Partner relations – managing relationships with the communication teams at RIM’s carrier, alliance and developer partners through collaborative PR efforts;
– New product launches – implementing and managing high profile and innovative PR activity for new launches;
– Product review program – developing and managing product review programs together with local PR agency team;
– Tradeshow PR participation – supporting PR activities for national and international tradeshows and managing a variety of projects designed to promote BlackBerry in Indonesia;
– Customer reference program – procuring, developing and evangelizing customer case studies to showcase the benefits of BlackBerry;
– Press releases – work with internal teams to develop and manage the approval and distribution of news
ESSENTIAL SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS
– Over 8-year experience on tech/telecom PR. In-house multinational experience is an asset.
– Self-motivated, takes initiative and quality-driven.
– Comfortable working on their own in an international support and reporting structure.
– Capable of multi-tasking in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
– Excellent project management, organizational and decision-making skills.
– Energetic team player with exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
– Excellent written and verbal language ability – English and Bahasa Indonesia.
